Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 8.8 ounces milk chocolate chopped or bars
  • 8.8 ounces dark chocolate chopped or bars
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Heatproof spatula
  • Fondue pot or small slow cooker

Method

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat until it is warm and slightly steaming. Do not let it boil or bubble.
  2. Add the milk and dark chocolate in small batches, stirring slowly as it melts. The mixture should start turning smooth and glossy.
  3. Keep the heat low and steady to avoid burning or grainy texture. Stir often for even melting.
  4. Once the chocolate is fully melted, continue stirring until it looks thick and silky. It should coat the spoon easily.
  5. Add peanut butter and mix until fully blended for a rich, nutty flavor.
  6. Turn off the heat and stir in vanilla extract for a smooth finish.
  7. Transfer the fondue into a warm fondue pot or slow cooker set to “warm.”
  8. Serve immediately with fruit, cookies, marshmallows, or cake pieces.

Notes

Keep heat low at all times to prevent chocolate from seizing.
Use chopped chocolate bars for the smoothest texture.
Add a splash of warm cream if the fondue becomes too thick.
